Align your existing in-house training programs with National Qualification Framework-registered unit standards and/or qualifications

Accredited organisations are authorised to facilitate learning and assessment against the outcomes contained in NQF-registered unit standards and/or qualifications and issue, via the responsible SETA, certification which is nationally recognised.

It therefore follows that an accredited organisation will be required to apply for a scope of unit standards and/or qualifications registered on the National Qualifications Framework against which they will be authorised to issue certification.

When applying for a scope of unit standards and/or qualifications, existing in-house training programs do not have to be deemed redundant. By aligning your existing in-house training programs to unit standards and/or qualifications registered on the National Qualifications Framework, certification toward nationally recognised qualifications is possible.

Your staff can enjoy training that is recognised anywhere in the country ~ training that can articulate to further learning and development opportunities yet training that still meets your organisation's in-house training requirements.

Remember, in order to maximise your Skills Development Levy grant payments, at least 50 percent of reported training must be accredited. According to CATHSESETA, this percentage will increase to at least 75 percent by 2013.
